At Burlington, there will be very few non-clearance promotions as the retailer generally moves all slow-moving inventories to the clearance rack.
Clearance will be easy to spot, but will likely be a bit messy as all categories are generally put on the rack together without much organization.
Clearance data is VITAL to the information we push over to our clients, so please be sure that you are diligent in collecting Clearance data every visit.
Clearance inventory will factor into your estimation for the % of inventory on/off promotion for each category in apparel.
There will be clearance at every store, so it is important to prepare to strategically collect the appropriate metrics and to give yourself enough time.
