Pants in Cubbies
Pants in cubbies are an actual inventory count for the number of leggings that LULU has in stock. We will count Pants in Cubbies for Women's and Men's pants. As you can see from the example photo above, there can be A LOT of pants in the store, which is going to require you to flex some math!
The best way to get an inventory count is to create a set of measures to quickly (and discretely) get an inventory count.
Follow these steps:
- Find a cubbie that is super full, as in they couldn't fit another pair of pants in the cubbie if they tried! Count the number of pants in that cubbie.
- Find a cubbie that looks to have the most average amount of inventory, essentially a "normal" stock level - not stuffed full, but not empty. Count the number of pants in that cubbie.
- Find a cubbie that is about 1/4 full. Count the number of pants in that cubbie.
Let's say:
- Full cubbie has 25 pairs
- Average cubbie has 15 pairs
- 1/4 cubbie has 10 pairs
Then, count how many cubbies are:
- Full
- Average
- 1/4
Then, it's just MATH!
- If we have:
- 15 full cubbies (15 x 25 = 375)
- + 10 average cubbies (10 x 15 = 150)
- + 15 1/4 full cubbies (17 x 10 = 170)
- Total = 695 pants
