Counting Shoe Inventory
In Shoes, for each brand with a distinct price, you will count the total inventory by brand and distinct price point for both Women's and Men's.
"Inventory" = exactly how many pieces there were of a given item. This is not a style count, as you may have encountered on some of our other projects.
We want to collect a total inventory count, so please be sure to count any duplicate styles that you see. Please be sure to look for Shoes in the main shoe aisles as well as on any end-cap or special display features (like display tables). Athletic brands will most likely be mixed in with casual styles.
Color does not matter as long as the inventory is all at the same price. For example, if you saw 20 pairs of Women's Under Armour shoes and they all have the same original price and the same selling price, you would only record one line of data with an inventory count of 20.
However, if 10 pairs of these shoes had a different original price OR a different selling price, you would record a line of data for each original price and selling price combination.
