ULTA Beauty Project Overview

Welcome to the ULTA Project! ​

Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance, Inc. is a chain of beauty stores in the United States that carries cosmetics and skincare brands, fragrances, and haircare products. We are interested in how much real estate all of the brands in Makeup, Skincare, Base Color, and Nails are receiving and how that space changes over time. 

We will be collecting the following data: 

• Real Estate: How many linear inches are being allocated to each category across brands? 
• Stockouts: How well-stocked is the store? How many items are unavailable at the time of the visit? 
• Promotions: How many promotions are there on brands and categories?
• Salon Services: How much does the in-store ULTA salon charge for services?
