Ollie's Store Traffic Counting

If you are assigned to count store traffic:

• Count traffic for 45 continuous minutes between 12-4 pm on Saturday at the front door. This can be done from your car.
• Traffic counting must take place at your designated location during your store visit.

The counting is very easy! You will simply count and report the total number of people exiting the store with:

• None: ​no shopping bags or items in hand
• Small buyer: one shopping bag and/or items in hand
• Large buyer: ​multiple shopping bags or a cart

We want to count all shoppers who appear 18 years or older. You will not include children who are clearly shopping with adults in the counts. But, if you saw a group of a few adults all shopping together, you would count each adult as a shopper.

The traffic count part of the project will have its own slot in the VMS and its own survey.
The survey is mobile enabled (meaning you can do it from your phone in the field) and will look similar to this:
