Stock Levels
When considering stock levels, we are looking for a gauge on the level of options available to a consumer for each category. You may have to rearrange some products on their display in order to get a better reference of the stock levels. Stock levels of products will be recorded as one of the following categories:
- Fully stocked: The shelf is completely full all the way to the back, or many styles on a rack, with multiple items per size/style, or a rack is filled completely with no room to condense items.
- Normal stock: Many styles available, with 1-2 items per size/style. The rack is full, but you can tell some items have sold.
- Somewhat picked over: Some styles/sizes missing, space to condense items on rack/shelf. Think of this as 2/3 to 1/4 of what it would look like fully stocked.
- Very picked over: Missing multiple styles and sizes, minimal stock/inventory, ample space to condense items on rack/shelf. The shelf or rack is basically empty.
Below are some examples to assist in determining stock level during your visit.
Fully Stocked
This floor rack shows several styles with multiple items per size. Notice there is no space to condense items on the rack. The YETI shelf display on the right has a product that goes all the way to the back of the shelf, and there is no space for any more items.

Normal Stock
The display shelves on the left show normal stock levels, with 1 or 2 styles of blankets and bedspreads available per color/style. It appears some of the items have been purchased; however, there is still ample stock available for consumers. The clothing display racks on the right are full, but not overflowing. There are several options for each style and size, and nothing seems to be totally missing from the rack.

Somewhat picked over
There will often be times that you will have to move the stock to get a better gauge of the stock level. In the image on the left, notice the blue line showing the amount of space on the floor rack that is empty once the stock is condensed. In the image on the right, you will notice the top shelf of the table is bare, and the bottom two shelves are displaying just a few clearly picked over items. The second shelf appears to have been condensed, and you're able to get a better idea of the stock level.

Very picked over
This is when there is very minimal product left, and many size/color options are not present. There is ample space to condense product, or there may be only 1 or 2 items.
