Special Display Linear Inches
The type of special display you are seeing will determine how you measure the space. Listed below are example of how you will measure them.

If your special display is an endcap, then you will measure the linear inches of the shelves just like it was in the aisle, measuring the length multiplied by the number of shelves. These endcaps are generally smaller, but highlight items that may be on promotion.
Other special displays may take up an area of the floor, so you will measure the area of the space. Below is an example of a special display inside Ollie's Bargain Outlet where you would get an area measurement of the pallets of potting soil.
