Submitting Your Survey

To submit your data, you will complete a survey following your visit. You should transfer your data from your notes or datasheet into the survey and click submit. You will access your survey via your VMS dashboard by clicking the Submit Data button.

For this project, the survey asks for certain details outlined in the project guide, including departments/categories observed and pricing and space metrics of those categories.

- Categories
- The survey will ask you to select the categories of product you saw within each department during your visit. You should select the individual categories you observed, or, select All Categories if you saw all.

- Pricing, Display Count Observed
- Next, the survey will ask you to identify the categories you saw in apparel based on the categories you selected in the previous question.
- Then, depending on the categories you select, you will provide pricing/promotions data and display counts of the categories you selected
- The pricing grid will ask for pricing and % on promotion details. You should enter your Min, Max and Mode prices as noted in your notes along with the % ON inventory.
- Please note, pricing and promotion details SHOULD include inventory on the clearance rack.
- Next, the survey will ask you to identify the categories you saw in apparel based on the categories you selected in the previous question.
Clearance
- Next, the survey will ask if you saw a Clearance Rack with women's apparel on it. If you select yes, you will be prompted to identify the categories of women's apparel you saw on Clearance and to enter pricing information for those categories.

PLEASE NOTE: The % of Category on Clearance should equal 100% within EACH category. For example, if you saw Bottoms and Dresses on clearance, your percentages entered for Bottoms by pricing bucket should equal 100% and your percentages entered for Dresses by pricing bucket should equal 100%:
- You will then be prompted to enter the LINEAR FEET of clearance inventory for each category
Promotions
If you entered a percentage ON promotion for any item, the survey will generate a promotions section for you to complete. Select the type of promotion you saw in the store and prompt you to fill in details for any type of promotion you select.
- If you saw promotions Sales Items (NOT clearance), you will be prompted to select the type of Sale promotion you saw: Percent Discount or New Price. You can select one or both based on the promotions you saw during your visit. You will be prompted to enter promotional details for each item you select once you select it.
- Remember, a New Price promotion is any item marked down to a new price or that has a $ off amount. Percent Discount is a certain percent off a marked price.
- Final Questions
- You will fill out a few final questions and have the option to enter comments or notes regarding your visit in the final screen.
- Be sure to hit SUBMIT to finalize your data.
