Identifying Handbag Collections
Kate Spade will have a lot of inventory in the stores, which can make identifying the collections a little overwhelming. But, there are a lot of cues on the price tags that can help you figure out which collection the Handbag belongs to.
Remember a couple of points:
- We are only collecting data on collections with 5+ styles, so you will encounter collections that are not in your datasheet. In these instances, record these bags as All Other Material/Leather by size
- Collections will usually be displayed in the same general area because they aesthetically belong together. Once you figure out the name of the collection on one bag, you can quickly get a style count of the other bags in the collection in the vicinity.
As you can see in this photo, even though the bags on the top two rows are different colors, they all LOOK the same. They have the same shape & embellishments, meaning they belong to the same collection! Once you determine the collection, you can easily assume they belong to the same collection.
Below are a few examples of how you can use the price tags to help you figure out the name of the collection.
