Shoes Pricing
Effective Pricing
The effective price includes all associated discounts and/or promotions occurring at the time of purchase. Basically, what we want to know is, how much would this item be if you purchased it right then?
Min $: Minimum selling price for each Shoe brand
Max $: Maximum selling price for each Shoe brand
Mode $: Most common selling price for each Shoe brand (this should be the price with the highest inventory count)
NOTE: Record the exact price - don't round!
For example if you saw the following selling prices in Women's Adidas shoes:
5 Shoes at $39.99
12 Shoes at $59.99
7 Shoes at $69.99
The effective pricing for Women's Adidas Shoes would be:
Min = $39.99
Max = $69.99
Mode = $59.99
***NOTE: If there is an equal number of items at two different price points, both be the most frequent (mode). Taking the average of those two prices will result in the effective mode.
Survey How-To
To give you a picture of what the survey will look like please review the following. Take note we are gathering slightly different information about shoes than is required for Apparel.
The survey will look like the following:
- *We are no longer collecting sub-categories for Shoes so in the survey please go ahead select "All Other" as your item category. We'll place ALL shoe styles for each brand under the All Other category.
- In the survey, please make sure that your Min/Max/Mode pricing reflects the Selling prices input in the MSRP grid

- In this example below, our MIN price would be $19.99, our MAX price $44.99 and the MODE price $26.99 (the most common price seen or the price with the highest inventory count!)
