A Quick Note about Outlets!
Sometimes Outlet stores can be sneaky about promotions! So, you have to be extra vigilant.
From our perspective, if an item has any kind of price change on top of the "Outlet price," it's on promotion. So, if you see for example; a table that says "All bags on this table $150", even though it's not advertised as a promotion, we count it as a "Clearance: New Price promotion".
Thus, you would need to collect both the original price (from the tag on each bag), plus the corresponding new price on the sign on the table.
- If a bag just lists the MSRP for your reference along with an "Outlet price", it is not on promotion. That is just the discount you get automatically for shopping at an Outlet store.
- If you're unsure whether something counts as a promotion, collect the data as if it is a promotion and follow up with a member of the research team for direction.
