Metrics

For Women's and Men's Apparel you will collect metrics on pricing and promotions. You will collect each metric for each clothing category previously mentioned in Step 2.

We will discuss the metrics in more detail in the upcoming steps, including when/where each metric is counted.

The following are the metrics you need to be familiar with:

1. Effective Pricing: ​What is the Min, Mode, and Max price for each category?
2. Promotional Activity: What categories are on promotion? What promotions are running in the store? How deep are the markdowns? Is there a Clearance Section?
3. % of Inventory On/Off Promotion: About how much of the items in the store are full-priced? About how much are on some sort of promotion/sale?
