Non-Clearance vs. Clearance Promotions
For this project, we are going to look at two different types of promotions: Non-Clearance vs. Clearance Promotion. We will discuss both of these promotional types in detail in the next steps.
Non-Clearance Promotions
These promotions are what would most commonly be called 'sales' - these are going to be things like New Price Discounts, Percent off Deals, Bundles and BOGOs. These will generally be found on the full-price sales floor, but may also be found on individual sales racks. Generally, these promotions will be easy to identify through store signage and/or price tag information.
Clearance Section Promotions
Unlike a lot of stores that have an entirely separate Clearance section. At H&M, the "Clearance" merchandise will likely be sitting directly next to a full-priced rack of clothing. It will also not likely be labeled as "Clearance" - rather, will be marked with Red markdown signs and/or Red price tag stickers.
Any time you see a rack with a Red price sign, this should be considered and collected as Clearance.
