Face / Skin / Nail Categories

Below are the details for the 4 product categories for Skincare and Makeup. These are Product Categories That REQUIRE Brand Breakouts, i.e. for these categories you will need to list out the data points you collect for each brand you observe.

1. Face - Skincare

• This category includes all face skincare that is not makeup.
• If the main purpose of the product is facial soap, facial/eye cream, or sunscreen, then it will fall under this category.
• You will find products from this category in various spots around the store. There will be some mixed in with makeup, some skincare on its own standalone displays, and some mixed into the big aisles toward the back of the store that carry Body and Hair products.
• Be sure you check all areas of the store for Skincare to make sure you don't miss any products!
• This category will include Facial Cleansers, Facial Moisturizers, Facial Exfoliators, Facial Masks, Facial Serums, Toners, Makeup Removers, Anti-Aging Creams, Wrinkle Creams, Eye Creams, Acne Treatments, Sunscreen etc.

2. Face - Base

• This category includes makeup that covers the skin on your face and serves as a base for other makeup applications.
• This category will include Foundation, Concealer, Powder, Facial Primer, Color Correctors, Tinted Moisturizers, etc. 
• Bronzer is included in this category if it's merchandised with other "Base" items
• Tinted Moisturizers will also fall in this category, and not Skincare because they are tinted
• You will notice that this makeup will mostly come in different shades of skin tones.
• Watch out for some odd-looking colors though! Things like Primer and Bronzer may not "look" clearly like a base product, they could look white, blue, or green in their containers.

3. Face - All Other Makeup

• This category will include ALL other facial makeup.
• It will include Blush, Mascara, Eyeliners, Eyeshadows, Eyebrow Makeup, Lip Stick, Lip Gloss, Lip Liner, etc.
• Bronzer is included in this category if it is merchandised with All Other Makeup categories
• Note that Blush is included in this category and not "Face-Base." Think of this category as anything used to add color to your face (on top of your base coat).

4. Nails

• This category will include only nail treatments/polishes that add color.
• This category will include Nail Polish - Top & Base Coats, Gel Manicures, Nail Art, Nail Polish Removers.
• This does NOT​ include nail tools, such as Nail Clippers or Cuticle Removers.
