In-Store Traffic

During you visit, we will ask you to periodically take a count of the number of shoppers browsing in the store as well the number of shoppers checking out.

The best strategy for this is to count the traffic at intervals and then take the average:

• Upon arrival: ​Count total number of Men and Women browsing in the store.
• Halfway through your visit: Count the total number of Men and Women browsing in the store.
• Before you leave: Count the total number of Men and Women browsing in the store.

Then take an average of the total number of people you saw while you were there. To do so, add up the total number of people at all three intervals and divide by three.

Specifically, you will be asked to record the following:

• The average number of shoppers browsing
• ​The age of the shoppers
• The gender of the shoppers
