Racks & Shelving Display Counts
One of the data points we collect at Haynes & Company is the amount of retail floor space occupied by a certain product. We calculate this through display counts, which are related to the type of rack or shelf you may find, in combination with project specifications. Click through the links below to learn more about each type of display.

Floor Racks
A floor rack, simply put, sits on the floor. However, there are many different types of floor racks - and how you count them for apparel may differ from project to project. For detailed information about how Haynes and Company counts floor racks please read this article on "Floor Racks".
Wall Racks
A wall rack is a rack that extends from a wall or the end of a display. Stores are able to utilize wall racks to significantly expand the product display capacity of their store. Please read the "Wall Racks" article to learn more about how we count this type of display.

Tables & Shelves
Tables and shelves are commonly found on the retail floor, and are counted in linear inches. Please read the "Table & Shelves" article to learn more about how to count this type of display.

Combination Displays
A combination display is multiple displays/racks combined into one floor unit. These types of displays use a combination of data collection methods, and can be the trickiest type. Please read this article to expand your knowledge about "Combination Displays".
Special Displays
Some projects will ask you to collect information or measure linear inches of "Special Displays". These displays may be set up to highlight a certain product or line of products during a season. The image on the left shows an early summer YETI special display. Please read the article on "Special Displays" to further understand how to count this display.
