What If I Lose My Receipt?
The simple answer here is, you will need to make a return visit to the location and make another purchase.
This is why we strongly encourage you to take a photo of your receipt as soon as you get it!
You can easily step away from the register, stop at a table and snap a quick photo before you even leave the restaurant.
The data we are paying from comes directly from the receipt, so if you happen to lose your receipt prior to data submission:
- Return and make a second purchase, but note you will only be paid for one visit as losing a receipt is not the responsibility of Haynes & Co to compensate for two visits.
- If you completed your visit on Wednesday but lost your receipt, you can make a return visit on Thursday.
- Immediately notify the research team via a support ticket so that the VMS can be updated and a note can be made.
** It's worth repeating that the data we are paying for comes from the receipt; visits will not be considered complete (and invoices will not be paid out) if the receipt is lost / not uploaded.
