Academy Sports + Outdoors
Welcome to the Academy Sports + Outdoors Project!
Academy Sports + Outdoors is one of the nation's largest sporting goods and outdoor stores. With 250+ stores and growing, they offer a broad assortment of hunting, fishing, camping equipment and gear, along with sports and leisure products, footwear and apparel.
In this project, we will be conducting research at Academy Sports + Outdoors, recording:
- Store traffic
- Prices, displays, and promotions for
- Women's and Men's Athletic Apparel
- Women's and Men's Boots
- YETI Coolers and Drinkware
Store Metrics:
During your visits, you will be collecting data on the following for various product categories, which we will explain in detail throughout the learning module:
Women's and Men's Apparel
Pricing: What is the Effective pricing for each brand/category?
Display Count: How many displays are there for each brand/category?
Stock Levels: How well are the inventory categories stocked?
Promotions: What types of promotions are occurring and what are the promotion details?
Clearance: Clearance will be captured differently than traditional promotions, which we will discuss later in the training.
Boots
Pricing: What is the Effective pricing for each category?
Linear Inches: How much space is there for each category?
Promotions: What types of promotions are occurring and what are the promotion details?
Clearance: Clearance will be captured differently than traditional promotions, which we will discuss later in the training.
YETI
Note: YETI will not be assigned to every market. If YETI is not assigned to you in the VMS, you can skip this step and any YETI data collection.
